Published senior tax-reduction application conditions
The city offers an application route for a registered owner who is also the principal resident and either aged 65 or older while receiving Guaranteed Income Supplement, or aged 60 to 64 while receiving the Allowance for the Survivor.
Applications need a Government of Canada confirmation letter for the relevant benefit. The city gives 1-800-277-9914 to request it, and links its Senior Citizens Tax Reduction application. The source does not state a reduction amount, so no percentage is assumed.
